About the role

BASF’s Sandefjord site produces active pharmaceutical ingredients and high‑concentration Omega‑3 supplements. The Process Operator works on a rotating 6‑shift schedule (day, afternoon, night and weekends) to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant’s process lines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various process plants according to standard procedures.
• Document ongoing production data accurately.
• Perform first‑line maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Contribute innovative ideas for production optimisation.

Required profile

• Vocational certificate (Fagbrev) in chemistry, process technology or equivalent technical education.
• Strong technical insight and understanding of process operations.
• Initiative‑driven and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to communicate fluently in Norwegian, both written and spoken; good English is an advantage.
