Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

Sabrura Galleriet is looking for an engaged, hands-on and motivating Restaurant Manager to lead its flagship restaurant in central Bergen. The restaurant opened in November 2019, has grown steadily and is the chain's largest unit over the last two years; it serves sushi, sticks and hot dishes in a lively atmosphere within a group of four restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Daily management and operation of the restaurant, including food and beverage, cleaning and maintenance
• Staff responsibility: recruiting, training, motivating and following up employees
• Economic responsibility: budget, cost control, sales and profitability
• Ensure high guest satisfaction and good service
• Implement the concept, standards and routines of Sabrura
• Cooperate with central management and the other restaurants in the group

Required profile

• Relevant experience as a restaurant manager, managing director or assistant restaurant manager, preferably in a buffet, Asian or volume restaurant
• Strong leadership experience and ability to engage a team
• Good understanding of finance and results orientation
• Knowledge of food safety and HMSG
• Fluent Norwegian, written and spoken; English is an advantage
• Flexibility for shift work, including evenings and weekends
• A visible, positive leader who thrives in a fast pace and puts guests and staff first
