Section Leader for Advanced Nursing

About the role

The University of Innlandet seeks a Section Leader for the Section of Advanced Nursing to lead and develop a professional, practice‑oriented environment. The position combines leadership with active involvement in teaching and research, based in Elverum with occasional travel between campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the section’s academic and administrative activities, including staff management.
• Ensure high educational quality, manage budget and resources, and promote research activities.
• Collaborate closely with the Institute Director, industry partners, and societal stakeholders.
• Drive initiatives for equality, diversity, and a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum master’s degree in a relevant health field; doctoral level preferred but not mandatory.
• Qualified for a teaching and research position in one or more of the section’s areas.
• Strong understanding of the role of an operational leader in academia.
• Excellent communication skills in Scandinavian languages and English.

Required skills

• Experience in teaching and/or research within nursing or health sciences.
• Leadership experience or responsibility for academic units.
