Software Engineer Summer Internship

About the role

Cisco Norway, a global leader in video conferencing technology, is recruiting a Software Engineer Summer Intern at its development centre in Lysaker, near Oslo. The internship runs from 15 June to 6 August 2027 and is a hybrid role with three days per week in the office. The specific project depends on your field of interest and current needs, and you will be paired with a mentor.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with an existing team on a real project relevant to Cisco, chosen according to your interests.
• Explore a variety of technologies under the guidance of a mentor.
• Contribute to projects such as room analytics, noise reduction with deep learning, camera focusing, calendar displays in meeting rooms, threat detection on Kubernetes, FPGA head detection and depth estimation.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or a closely related subject.
• Able to live and work in Norway for the duration of the summer; no visa or relocation support is provided.
• Team player willing to learn, with dedication and curiosity.

Preferred qualifications

• Practical engineering experience, for example in programming, testing, signal processing, network protocols or cloud technology.
• Genuine interest in technology and continuous learning.
