Summer Internship 2027 – AI, Data and Power Market

About the role

NTE Energi is looking for four summer students in Trondheim to help build an AI-based Evidence Monitor that gathers, structures and quality-checks market information from public sources such as annual reports, stock announcements, news, presentations and market reports. You will work on a prototype in a multidisciplinary team of students with different backgrounds, combining technical skills, information literacy and knowledge of the power market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and structure relevant market information from different sources
• Use AI and language models to gather information and analyse documents
• Extract and structure key details from unstructured sources
• Check whether information from several sources refers to the same event
• Develop a structured, traceable event register
• Link structured information back to its original sources
• Evaluate quality, uncertainty and source basis of the information

Required profile

• Curious about how technology and expertise can be combined
• Comfortable working on complex problems where answers are not all given in advance
• Analytical, structured and quality-focused, with attention to sources and traceability
• Enjoys collaborating with people of different backgrounds and takes responsibility for your own tasks
• Students from fields such as AI, natural language processing or computer science; data engineering or information management; journalism, communication or media studies; energy economics, power markets or energy systems
