Assistent – ringevikar i barnehage

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated assistant (ringevikar) to support the daily operations and pedagogical activities of our kindergarten, aligning with our values and educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates in line with the Learning Workshop’s value platform and quality standards.
• Build equal, respectful relationships with children, listening to them and encouraging participation.
• Contribute a positive attitude and enthusiasm to both children and the work environment.
• Share responsibility for care and pedagogical tasks such as group sessions, activities, free play, and routine situations.
• Facilitate good collaboration with parents and guardians.
• Stay professionally updated and attend courses offered by the Learning Workshop Academy.

Required profile

• Relational and attentive to each child’s needs, with strong listening skills.
• Ambitious, warm, caring adult who can inspire engagement and play.
• Solution‑oriented, flexible, collaborative and able to communicate with diverse backgrounds.
• Independent, responsible and able to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Experience working with people in a similar role.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to act as an active adult with children and implement safety measures.
• Proficient Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of cooking with children is a plus.
• Police clearance required before start date.
