About the role

We are seeking a kindergarten teacher to cover a maternity‑leave vacancy from January to October/November 2027 at Tiriltoppen in Nøtterøy. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging learning environment and supporting the pedagogical team in daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates in line with Læringsverkstedet’s value platform.
• Create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for children and staff.
• Share knowledge about child development and contribute to staff competence development.
• Guide and support other staff in pedagogical and methodological work.
• Lead evaluation work and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Co‑manage collaboration with parents.
• Act as substitute for the pedagogical leader when absent.

Required profile

• Relationally oriented and attentive to each child’s needs.
• Good listening skills and responsive to children’s communication.
• Ambitious with a passion for early childhood education.
• Ability to create engagement and enthusiasm in children’s play.
• Solution‑oriented, flexible, and collaborative.
• Capable of communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfortable with new challenges, works well under pressure, responsible and independent.
• Warm, caring adult who embodies the values of Læringsverkstedet.
