Data Engineer – Care Technology Platform

About the role

Sensio, a European care technology company, is looking for a Data Engineer to join its data platform team in Oslo. The role works across product, engineering and AI teams, turning data from sensors, applications and external systems into structured, reliable datasets used across Sensio's products. You will report to the Dev Lead for Data Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build data pipelines, processors and services in Python, C# and .NET
• Receive data from APIs, Kafka and existing datasets, and turn sensor, alarm and activity data into reliable, structured datasets
• Work with PostgreSQL and large data volumes
• Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers and developers to define the right data structures and processing
• Improve platform reliability, scalability and secure data handling

Required profile

• Skilled Data Engineer with strong technical judgement and high standards for data reliability
• Strong experience with data engineering, backend development or data-heavy platform services
• Understanding of how data supports modern product and ML development
• Bonus: experience with FastAPI, dbt, Alembic, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, sensor/IoT data or products where reliability, privacy and safety matter

• Familiarity with Spark, MLflow and PyTorch
