About the role
Arondite, a defence technology company building the foundational software and AI behind autonomous systems, is expanding into Norway with Oslo as the proposed base. It is looking for a Deployment Strategist to plan and run the implementation of its technology with customers and partners, helping them understand how heterogeneous autonomous systems, sensors and platforms can interoperate under a unified command-and-control approach. The role involves significant travel, often in demanding operational or trial environments, and is open to candidates with partial fit.
Key responsibilities
- Map workflows, pain points, operational constraints and integration challenges with users and stakeholders
- Frame customer problems that fit the product vision for Cobalt and the wider autonomy software stack
- Prioritise problems with customers and partners and design iterative delivery plans
- Bridge users, product and engineering so solutions match operational reality
- Support demonstrations, trials and pilots with heterogeneous Norwegian, UK or NATO-relevant systems
- Help customers understand interoperability across sensors, autonomous platforms and command-and-control workflows
- Refine priorities with customers and feed feedback into the product
- Contribute to developing Arondite's deployment methodology in Norway, including lessons learned on security requirements and customer expectations
Required profile
- Technical proficiency: programming skills, a technical degree or equivalent experience in a technology company
- Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Independent decision-making under pressure and willingness to travel and work on site with customers for a large share of the time
- Ability to understand software systems and operational user needs and translate between them
- Right to work in Norway at the time of application, or a clear route to obtain it
- Security clearance or willingness to undergo Norwegian security vetting at the relevant level
Required skills
- Ideally: defence or defence technology experience
- Experience supporting field deployments, demonstrations, pilots or operational trials
- Familiarity with autonomy, robotics, sensing, command-and-control systems, ISR workflows or systems integration
- Experience with military, government research or public-sector end users, and exposure to NATO operating environments or interoperability challenges
