Technical Program Manager - Forma Design

About the role

Autodesk Forma is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join Forma Design and turn complex, cross-organization initiatives into clear, coordinated execution. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with Product, Engineering and Design leaders and teams across Forma and Autodesk, acting as a key counterpart to Technical Program Managers elsewhere in the organization. The role is not just project tracking: it creates a structure that lets teams move forward by clarifying goals and ownership, connecting dependencies, identifying risks and facilitating decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex technical programs spanning multiple teams, functions and organizations from definition through execution.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Design leaders to turn strategic priorities into outcomes, plans and success measures.
• Serve as the main interface between Forma Design and teams across Autodesk, translating cross-organizational requirements and coordinating dependencies.
• Identify risks, dependencies and blockers early and bring the right people together to resolve them.
• Engage directly with senior leaders, turning complex technical and organizational information into clear trade-offs and recommendations.
• Facilitate alignment when teams have different priorities, influencing without direct authority.
• Provide visibility into program health and progress while reducing coordination and reporting overhead.
• Improve ways of working using processes, tools, AI and automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with software engineering and product teams in a complex technology environment, including Technical Program Management, Program Management or a comparable role.
• Proven experience leading complex software or technical initiatives across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including influencing without direct authority.
• Practical experience using AI and automation to improve program-management workflows.
• Preferred: degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline; experience with cloud-based products, distributed systems, product-led environments and geographically distributed teams; previous hands-on technical role.
