Legal Counsel - Norway

About the role

Bitdeer, a technology company for AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, is looking for a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel based in Oslo. You will report directly to the Regional Legal Director and support Bitdeer's growth in Europe, focusing on complex transactions, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Contract management: draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements for data center projects, infrastructure and equipment purchases, including NDAs, framework agreements and construction contracts.
• M&A and finance: advise on M&A processes (due diligence, binding offers, transaction documents) and assist with financing.
• Regulatory and compliance: research and advise on Norwegian and European regulations, with a focus on energy law, licenses, grid connection agreements and permits.
• Corporate governance: manage the contract lifecycle and approvals for European deals, and oversee corporate governance of Norwegian and European entities, including board resolutions.
• External and internal relations: manage external legal counsel and act as a strategic partner to internal business teams.

Required profile

• Master of Laws degree from a recognized university.
• Admission to the Norwegian Bar or another relevant European bar is highly preferred.
• 3-6 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably from a leading law firm or an in-house team.
• Direct experience with M&A and corporate financing.
• Experience with infrastructure, energy or large-scale construction projects such as data centers.
• Knowledge of Norwegian corporate law and regulations.
• Fluent written and spoken English; fluency in Norwegian is a strong advantage.
