Onsite Service Engineer – Proton Therapy Systems

About the role

Siemens Healthineers' Proton Therapy team is looking for an Onsite Service Engineer to work at Oslo University Hospital Radiumhospitalet. The role helps keep the Proton Therapy System running smoothly, the advanced equipment used to target tumours while protecting healthy tissue. It is a backfill position within the established Proton Solutions Service Team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and support on the proton therapy equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and keep the system fully functional during clinical hours.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and support regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Complete pre- and post-maintenance documentation in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; Scandinavian language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to work shift hours on a weekly consecutive basis (Day Shift 6:00am–14:00, Evening Shift 13:00–21:00).
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

• Mechanical skills and understanding of electronic or electromechanical systems.
• Technical training provided on the job, including at EMEA training facilities.
