Pedagogisk leder for barnehageavdeling

About the role

We are looking for a Pedagogical Leader to head one of our kindergarten departments in Vennesla. You will be responsible for both the administrative and educational quality of the group, ensuring children feel valued, parents feel safe, and staff can perform their best.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the department academically, pedagogically and administratively together with your team.
• Plan, implement, document and evaluate the pedagogical work while driving continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues, fostering a safe and playful environment.
• Participate in the leadership team, share ideas and contribute to the overall development of the kindergarten.
• Oversee daily operational details, from annual planning to everyday practical matters, and actively engage in play with the children.

Required profile

• Qualified as a kindergarten teacher or preschool teacher with a genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Natural leadership qualities, able to organise the day, adapt plans to children’s needs and ask for help when necessary.
• Team‑player who shares knowledge, listens, respects others and communicates well with children, parents and staff.
• Playful, creative and comfortable getting a little messy while supporting a fun, learning‑rich environment.
