Software Engineer – Bill Pay Norway

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Bill Pay Norway team, delivering the country’s leading recurring payment product, AvtaleGiro. You will contribute to the continuous delivery of critical account‑to‑account payment services, ensuring millions of users can pay their bills securely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and testers to translate functional specifications into production‑ready code.
• Utilise Mastercard tools and follow Agile practices to deliver high‑quality software.
• Document work using Jira and Confluence, maintaining clear traceability.
• Adhere to enterprise quality standards and implement build‑control strategies.
• Define test plans and schedules in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity where appropriate.

Required profile

Required skills

• Back‑end development experience, preferably in Java.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
