Software Engineer II - Java

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Software Engineer II specializing in Java to join its Payment Services team in Oslo. You will help deliver and enhance account‑to‑account payment solutions that support banks and ERP systems across the Nordics.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, testers and product owners to turn functional specifications into released features.
• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested Java code and follow Mastercard’s quality standards.
• Use Jira and Confluence to document work, track progress and manage agile sprints.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple environments.
