About the role

We are seeking a temporary kindergarten teacher to cover a parental leave from approximately 1 January 2027 until around 1 October 2027 in Voss. The role involves creating a safe, engaging learning environment and supporting children’s development in line with the Læringsverkstedet values.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Læringsverkstedet value platform and quality standards in daily activities.
• Plan and execute daily tasks, projects and activities for short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Ensure the learning environment is safe, stimulating and inclusive for both children and staff.
• Share knowledge about child development and raise the pedagogical competence of the team.
• Guide and support staff in pedagogical and methodological work.
• Lead evaluation work and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with parents to foster good cooperation.
• Act as substitute for the pedagogical leader when absent.

Required profile

• Relationship‑oriented, attentive to each child’s needs and communication.
• Passionate about early childhood education with a caring and warm attitude.
• Solution‑focused, flexible, collaborative and able to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Responsible, independent and eager to take on new challenges.

Required qualifications

• Approved higher education degree as a kindergarten teacher or preschool teacher.
• Experience in a kindergarten is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Police clearance required before employment.
• Personal suitability will be assessed.
