About the role

We are looking for a professional accounting advisor to help further develop Oslo municipality's largest accounting environment. The role combines strategic guidance, process improvement and digital transformation within a public sector context.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on accounting standards and ensure consistent application of routines and regulations.
• Lead and coordinate development and improvement projects, including system support and quality work.
• Design, standardise and maintain procedures, work processes and governing documentation.
• Implement efficiency measures and strengthen internal control to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and deliver training, offering guidance and support to users and managers.
• Identify improvement needs and contribute to the evolution of digital work processes and financial systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create effective, holistic and standardised workflows.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education in economics, accounting or a related field.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience with change‑management and improvement initiatives.
• Extensive accounting knowledge and experience with process development, digitalisation and efficiency projects.
• Background in internal control, risk assessment and quality work.
• Good understanding of financial systems; knowledge of Unit4 is an advantage.
• Interest in technology and digital solutions that enhance work processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian.
