Account Payables Coordinator

About the role

Wallenius Wilhelmsen, a global leader in roll-on/roll-off shipping and vehicle logistics, is looking for an Account Payables Coordinator for Keen Transport. The role covers a wide range of processes: invoice processing, treasury tasks, payments in various currencies, chart of accounts coding and vendor account reconciliations. It ensures timely and accurate processing of global supplier invoices and their payments.

Key responsibilities

• Validate invoice fields such as date, currency and vendor code.
• Process supplier invoices daily through the Basware P2P system for various sites.
• Code invoices to the correct cost account using an AI tool and the chart of accounts.
• Keep in constant contact with Operations and Administrative areas on invoice approvals and queries.
• Generate pay proposals in different currencies, bank platforms and payment methods.
• Record bank account postings in the finance system and review supplier statements, providing remittance details.
• Propose the use of Spend Plans for recurring invoices and support the use of the PO system in Basware to match invoices.
• Meet department KPIs and comply with internal and external controls.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Detailed-oriented, with a high level of concentration and process compliance.
• Proactive, with a sense of urgency and prioritization.
• Experience in general ledger expense coding is a plus.

Required skills

• Efficient and accurate data entry, including data verification in systems.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Fast learner and self-motivated team player.
