Payroll Specialist

About the role

Oda, an online grocery retailer in Norway and Sweden, is looking for a Payroll Specialist to work in its payroll team. You will make sure employees across several legal entities receive the right pay on time, while keeping compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining high data quality and working closely with colleagues in payroll, management and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Run the monthly payroll process for assigned employee groups
• Handle sick leave, holidays and other leave in line with Norwegian law, and pension reporting and postings in the finance system
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to authorities (A-report, tax, employer contributions)
• Keep up to date with payroll laws, tax rules, GDPR and collective agreements
• Maintain employee data in the workforce management system, fix errors proactively and look for ways to automate steps
• Support employees and managers with payroll questions and help colleagues with accurate postings and reconciliations

Required profile

• Degree in payroll, accounting, HR administration or equivalent
• 2-5 years of payroll experience; experience in a multi-entity environment is a plus
• Solid knowledge of Norwegian payroll law, including sick pay, A-report and pension administration
• Experience with payroll systems and basic accounting principles
• Good written and spoken Norwegian and English

• Navigating payroll systems and finance system integration
• Workforce management systems and process optimisation are a bonus
