Business Controller – Retail & Sales Analysis

About the role

Synoptik Norge, behind Brilleland and Interoptik and part of EssilorLuxottica, is looking for a Business Controller for its Sandvika service office. You will turn figures and analyses into insights that strengthen decision-making and support the business's development. You will be the main financial partner for the Retail Director, sales managers, store operations and marketing, join the Scandinavian Controlling team of 13 colleagues and report to the Head of Controlling in Norway.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and extend reporting, analyses and dashboards for management and key stakeholders using tools such as SeeBrite, Power BI and Excel.
• Present weekly and monthly commercial and financial results to management.
• Provide analysis that supports decisions and creates value across the organisation.
• Drive forecasting and budgeting processes within your area.
• Contribute to month-end closing, reporting and presentation material for EssilorLuxottica.
• Identify and implement process improvements together with the Nordic Controlling team.
• Act as a subject-matter partner in cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in business controlling or a similar analytical role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with analysis, data modelling and reporting.
• Good command of written and spoken English; SAP or other ERP experience is an advantage.
• Ability to handle several projects at once and build good relationships across functions.
