About the role

Thon Hotel Alta is looking for a part‑time Conference Host to join its busy conference department. The role is a permanent 50 % position, primarily focused on providing excellent service to conference guests in a modern business‑hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and guide conference participants throughout the venue.
• Assist with the set‑up and smooth operation of meetings, seminars and events.
• Coordinate with kitchen, technical and front‑desk teams to meet guest needs.
• Handle enquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
• Support occasional evening and weekend events as required.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, mainly daytime with some evenings/weekends.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Reliability and the capacity to work in a fast‑paced, inclusive team.
