Lead Platform Engineer (GitOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD)

About the role

Telenor Norge wants to simplify and automate how its mobile core network is built, configured, verified and operated, using a modern GitOps-based delivery model with CI/CD/CT, automated verification and standardized processes. As Lead Platform Engineer (Tech Lead) you will set the technical direction for automation, from blueprint to working solutions, combining technical leadership with hands-on development. You will join a newly created platform and automation team in Fornebu.

Key responsibilities

• Design blueprints and principles for automated workflows and define the reference architecture for GitOps, CI/CD and automated verification in the mobile core network.
• Develop automation solutions from idea and prototype to production, making robust and scalable choices.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to understand needs and make solutions easy to use.
• Share knowledge and help build a strong professional community.

Required profile

• Solid technical understanding and experience developing or designing automated technical solutions.
• Experience in software development, DevOps, platform engineering or similar.
• Ability to combine hands-on development with technical leadership and to communicate well across teams.
• Good written and spoken Norwegian and English.
• Security clearance at the required level; the position cannot be taken without it.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitLab and GitHub, GitOps and Argo CD.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, infrastructure as code and CI/CD/CT.
• Understanding of test automation and automated verification.
• Go is used in the environment; full coverage of all tools is not expected.
