Part‑time Receptionist (20%) at a Hotel

About the role

Thon Hotel Tromsø is looking for a friendly and reliable receptionist to join the front‑desk team on a permanent 20% contract. The role starts as soon as possible and may include extra shifts during the summer and the holiday season.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, handle check‑in and check‑out procedures, and provide information about the hotel and local area.
• Answer phone calls, manage reservations and respond to guest inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes day, evening shifts and every third weekend, as well as Christmas and New Year periods.

Required profile

• Enjoy delivering top‑level service and creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a positive and collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Basic computer literacy for reservation systems.
