Rental Operations Agent – Car Rental

About the role

Rental Operations Agents help customers meet their car rental needs and promote the company's products and services. The role involves working with customers, handling rental agreements and payments, and giving information on rental prices and policies. It also includes checking cars in and out, inspecting them and selling additional products and services. The position usually requires excellent customer service skills, sales ability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, listen to their needs and find the best rental options
• Handle rental agreements and payments, explain prices and policies and available vehicles
• Sell add-ons such as insurance and GPS navigation systems
• Explain final fees, collect signatures and assist with directions and travel information
• Keep accurate records and complete paperwork; handle daily back-office tasks such as email and station reports
• Inspect vehicles for damage, document findings and assess costs, and prepare cars for the next rental
• Keep parking areas tidy and resolve customer complaints professionally
• Follow safety protocols at all times

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Previous sales or customer service experience, especially in car rental, retail or hospitality, preferably 1-2 years
• Valid driving licence with a clean record
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
• Team-oriented, able to handle several tasks at once in a busy environment, friendly and proactive
