Rental Sales Agent – Car Rental

About the role

Rental Sales Agents help customers meet their car rental needs and promote the company's products and services. The role involves working with customers, handling rental agreements and payments, and giving information on rental prices and policies. It also includes checking cars in and out, inspecting vehicles and selling additional products and services. The position calls for excellent customer service skills, a sales ability and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and listen to their needs to find the best rental options
• Handle rental agreements and payments, explain prices and policies and available vehicles
• Sell additional products such as insurance and GPS navigation systems
• Explain final fees to customers and collect signatures on rental contracts
• Help with directions and travel information
• Keep accurate records and complete paperwork
• Carry out daily back-office tasks such as email handling and station reports
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Previous sales or customer service experience, especially in car rental, retail or hospitality, preferably 1-2 years
• Valid driving licence with a clean record
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
• Team-oriented approach and ability to handle several tasks in a hectic environment
• Friendly, optimistic and proactive attitude
