Summer Student 2027 – Construction, Geotechnics, Fire Safety, Building Physics, Water & Sewage, Electrical Engineering

About the role

Norconsult, a leading Nordic consulting firm with about 7,000 employees across 140 offices, is looking for summer students in 2027 to work on real projects with some of the country's top consultants. Students can choose from construction technology, geotechnics, fire safety, building physics, water and sewage, and electrical engineering, working in multidisciplinary teams on construction, architecture, industrial, energy and transport projects.

Key responsibilities

• Construction technology: modelling and sizing of structures, drawings and calculations, design meetings
• Geotechnics: site investigations, stability and foundation analyses, follow-up of field work and reporting
• Fire safety: fire resistance assessments, fire concepts and coordination with other consultants
• Building physics: energy, moisture and indoor climate calculations, building details, support for sustainability and energy projects
• Water and sewage: planning and designing water supply and drainage systems, stormwater and climate adaptation, technical solutions, plans and applications, preliminary and main plans
• Electrical engineering: designing electrical installations in buildings and infrastructure, technical documentation and collaboration in complex projects

Required profile

• Master student in year 3 or 4, preferably with relevant course choices
• Interest in consulting engineering and project work
• Curious, proactive and team-oriented
• Good communication skills in Norwegian
