Industrial and Maritime Construction Engineer – Headquarters

About the role

Norconsult's Industrial and Maritime Construction division, part of the Division Industri, has about 150 employees across four departments and delivers structural design and project delivery for industry, oil and gas, ports and maritime projects. It is looking for experienced civil and structural engineers who want to take responsibility in complex, forward-looking projects, professionally, commercially or as project manager. The work is done in modern offices in Sandvika and Lysaker.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop complex assignments in close dialogue with customers and partners
• Project management and design management
• Design of concrete, steel and timber structures
• Numerical simulations (Abaqus - FEM) and dynamic analyses
• Programming and scripting
• Contribute to marketing and tendering and develop the customer portfolio
• Develop the professional community and mentor younger colleagues

Required profile

• Engineer or civil engineer with relevant education and experience
• Independent, collaborative and able to work in teams
• Good oral and written communication

Required skills

• Abaqus (FEM)
• Structural analysis and programming/scripting
