About the role

We are looking for an on‑call receptionist to join the front‑desk team at a modern conference hotel located 20 minutes from Oslo. The role is flexible with no fixed schedule; you will be contacted when shifts are needed, either during daytime (07:00‑15:15) or evening (15:00‑23:15). You will report to the Reception Manager and contribute to delivering a memorable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and forward calls to appropriate departments.
• Handle reservations, cancellations and payment processing.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
• Maintain the front‑desk area and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, food‑and‑beverage and conference teams to fulfill guest requests.

Required profile

• Service‑oriented attitude with a genuine desire to create happy guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work on short notice in either day or evening shifts.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a motivated team.
