Process Operator – Production (Shift)

About the role

BASF's Sandefjord plant, a specialist in active pharmaceutical ingredients and high‑concentration Omega‑3 supplements, is looking for a Process Operator. The position works in a 6‑shift rotation (day, afternoon, night and weekends) and reports to a shift leader while collaborating with a team of operators and an apprentice.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant’s various process units safely and efficiently.
• Document ongoing production activities in accordance with quality standards.
• Perform first‑line maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Contribute innovative ideas to optimise production processes.

Required profile

• Vocational certificate in chemistry, process technology or equivalent technical education.
• Strong technical insight and understanding of process operations.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
• Good comprehension of English is an advantage.
