Head of Membership Department – TONO

About the role

TONO, Norway's collective administration of music rights, is looking for a leader of its membership department. The role covers ongoing membership administration and developing services and relationships that make TONO attractive to creators. It sits within the leadership group and shapes the direction of the whole organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Make it easier for members to get help, understand their income and follow how their music is used
• Strengthen contact with creators and music publishers and turn their needs into better services
• Develop working methods and competence as tasks change with technology
• Prioritise improvements together with IT and innovation so data becomes useful insight for members
• Act as a visible and trustworthy representative of TONO to the industry
• Lead colleagues through change, support them and contribute ideas to the leadership group

Required profile

• Experience leading people through change and improving services or work processes
• Background in personnel management and experience of developing services, relationships or processes
• Knowledge of the music industry, for example from a music publisher, management, a rights organisation or another business close to creators; other creative industries also count
• Ability to build trust with people behind the music and understand the economics of creative work
