On-Call Cleaner – Acute Hospital

About the role

Sykehuset Telemark in Skien is looking for on-call cleaners to support a safe and clean hospital environment where hygiene matters for patient safety and infection control. You will work both independently and with colleagues, mostly on your own initiative but also in collaboration during larger tasks and when priorities change during the day. The job suits people who want flexible work alongside studies, another job or extra work when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Daily and periodic cleaning of hospital areas, including patient rooms, wards, outpatient clinics, maternity units, operating rooms, psychiatric wards and offices
• Cleaning and preparation of patient beds, and main and disinfection cleaning
• Laundry and textile handling
• Transport and moving of equipment and furniture
• Use of digital tools such as CleanPilot to record and follow up cleaning

Required profile

• Experience in cleaning is an advantage but not required
• Written and spoken Norwegian at a level sufficient for the job
• Basic digital skills
• Punctuality, attention to quality, willingness to learn, responsibility, good teamwork and understanding of hygiene and patient safety

Working hours are day and evening shifts between 07:00 and 23:00 on weekdays and weekends; start date by agreement, and applications are made through Webcruiter with CV and certificates attached as PDFs. Two part-time positions are available.
