About the role

Learningsverkstedet Myråsen kindergarten in Grimstad is looking for a dedicated child and youth worker/assistant for a full‑time fixed‑term position starting as soon as possible, initially until 31 January 2027 with a high probability of extension to 30 June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates in line with the organisation’s values and quality standards.
• Build equal, respectful relationships with children, listening to them and encouraging participation.
• Contribute positively to the daily environment, supporting activities, free play, routines and group sessions.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to facilitate good cooperation.
• Maintain professional development by attending courses offered through the Læringsverkstedet Academy.

Required profile

• Relational, attentive to each child’s needs and able to listen actively.
• Solution‑oriented, flexible, collaborative and able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Independent, responsible and aligned with the organisation’s values.

Required skills

• Experience working with people or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to act as an active adult with children and implement safety measures.
• Good written and spoken Norwegian.
