Pedagogical Leader for Kindergarten

About the role

The Pedagogical Leader is responsible for the administrative and educational management of a kindergarten department, ensuring high quality, development and safe daily operations for children, parents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong culture based on the kindergarten's values.
• Lead pedagogical, administrative and operational tasks and participate actively in the leadership team.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children and facilitate collaboration with parents and partners.
• Engage in daily play and activities, meeting children’s needs through care and interaction.
• Develop and continuously improve the pedagogical offering.
• Participate in evaluation work and ongoing development processes.
• Plan daily operations, develop annual plans with staff and the director.

Required profile

• Qualified as a kindergarten or preschool teacher (college degree).
• Interest and competence in the concept and work with children, with natural leadership abilities.
• Experience in kindergarten, preferably as a pedagogical leader.
• Strong communication, solution‑oriented and structured work style.
• Ability to listen, share knowledge and support team ambitions.
• Good Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of early childhood education practices.
