Industrial Mechanic – Rockwool Moss Factory

About the role

The mechanical department of the ROCKWOOL factory in Moss is looking for an industrial mechanic. The work is varied, covering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and technical improvements, some planned and others needed quickly during production. The factory turns stone into stone wool, using its own electric melting technology, and good mechanical upkeep is essential for safe and stable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and planned maintenance on the production plant
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and building systems
• Find the cause of faults and contribute to lasting solutions
• Record and document completed work
• Report faults and defects so equipment and work areas stay in good condition
• Suggest and carry out technical improvements
• Work closely with production and other departments

Required profile

• Vocational qualification as industrial mechanic; other relevant qualifications considered with the right experience
• Experience in industrial or production maintenance preferred
• Good technical understanding and systematic troubleshooting
• Able to work independently and lead others when needed
• Good Norwegian or another Scandinavian language

Required skills

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
